Building Belonging: Help Your Daughter Thrive Through Connection!

Middle and high school can be some of the most challenging years in your daughter’s life.

Between the academic pressures, changing social dynamics, and the search for independence, these years often come with struggles to find meaningful friendships and a sense of belonging. As a parent, you may feel helpless watching your daughter navigate these challenges. But there is hope—connection and community can make all the difference.

Why Connection Matters
Having a strong sense of connection is more than just about having friends. It’s about feeling valued, understood, and supported by others. Research shows that young people who feel connected to a peer group experience lower levels of stress, increased confidence, and improved overall well-being. These connections teach vital social skills, like communication and conflict resolution, that will benefit your daughter for years to come.

The Power of Group Support

I firmly believe in the transformative power of community for girls, which is why I’ve created two online spaces designed to support and empower them. The first is The Brave Girl Tribe, tailored for girls in 5th to 8th grade. My newest addition is the High School Support Group, specifically for girls in 9th to 12th grade.

These communities, part of The Brave Girl Project, go beyond being places to socialize. They offer a safe, supportive environment where your daughter can:

1. Develop Confidence: Guided discussions and activities help girls discover their unique strengths and build self-assurance.
2. Learn Healthy Friendship Skills: From navigating conflicts to understanding what makes a friendship healthy or unhealthy, these skills are essential for lifelong relationships.
3. Find Her Tribe: A group environment fosters a sense of belonging where girls feel understood and supported by peers going through similar challenges.
4. Reduce Isolation: Struggling to connect with others can leave girls feeling alone. A group offers a reminder that they are not alone in their experiences.
5. Strengthen Emotional Resilience: Learning to navigate the ups and downs of friendships and social pressures helps girls build emotional strength
